It was a little bigger and had a bit fancier decor, but our room in the Blue Chip Tower seemed just as nice and a better value. TIP: We were able to visit one of the rooms in the Spa Blu Tower. The bed was comfortable and came with four pillows. It came with a king-size bed, lounge chair & ottoman, desk & chair, and flat-screen TV. It overlooked the marina and the hyperboid cooling tower of the Michigan City Generating Station. Our room (420) was clean and appeared to have been recently remodeled in a modern style. There is a fitness center, (indoor) swimming pool and spa, none of which we visited. The combined lobby offers a multitude of dining options. There is plenty of free covered & uncovered parking.īoth towers are attached to the casino, but at opposite ends. (Rooms in the newer Spa Blu tower are about $25 more.) Although it was cheaper than the new tower, I thought that $179 was pretty high for a room in Michigan City, even if it was a weekend. The room was in the “old” Blue Chip tower and set us back $178.08 total - including tax and resort fee. We were here for a family event and our room was part of a block of rooms reserved by the host. My wife and I recently spent a Saturday night at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City, IN.
